to market, to market

I love the farmer's market this time of year.
We can really get everything we need (and then some!)
All the bounty of summer, and all of our favorite fall treats are starting to show up too--like apples and squash.

This week we loaded up on our end-of-summer favorites--POUNDS of peaches (we can never get enough!), berries, corn, and potatoes. Our favorite honey and eggs.

LOVE! farmers market food is the most exciting kind of food! we have been loading up on hubbard squash, tiny cucumbers for pickling, zucchini for stir fry, red onions, carrots, raw honey, gypsy peppers, and of course, eggs!! (3 dozen every week!)

i like getting fish at the market! and eggs, berries and herbs. other than that, our local grocery store (which is waaaay closer to my house than the market) carries locally grown cantaloupe, corn, peaches and potatoes so i like to get those there instead. it would be awesome if we had a mid-week market like slc!
