a funny(ish) and totally true story

so here I am, going about life as usual.....and the next thing I know I am being told
that my appendix needs to come out.
like, RIGHT NOW.

So out it went, just like that.
(well, there was some kind of science involved, I'm sure)

So if you need me, I'll be lying around eating ice cream for the next few days
(minus one appendix)

We will talk soon.

Oh no! Take care of yourself, Sheena. So glad to hear that they caught it before it burst. My husband had to have his out a few years ago and I remember him being pretty uncomfortable the first few days after surgery. Take it easy! I'll be praying for a quick recovery.

Sheena,
Hope "like right now" doesn't mean ruptured. But with your state of health, I am sure recovery is zipping along. I hope someone brought you the book "Madeline". A classic. Your little girl would get a kick out of it now that MOM had her a appendix out!

SHEENA! Are you okay??? That's the worst. Laughing is such an evil evil thing when one is operated on in the abdomen area, this I know.

Feel better soon!

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! Isn't life funny how you are just minding your own business and then, BAM, everything changes.

My appendix ruptured on Christmas Eve two years ago and I would say that was probably the worst week of my life. So I'm glad to see that you are recovering so well (or at least seem to be so) and that you caught it before it ruptured (it sounds like). I hope you feel better soon and enjoy every bite of icecream! Take care!

Popped in to see how your blog is doing since you in my "must keep up with" blog folder...but I see something needed to "pop" out. I know, that was funny(ish). Hope your recovery goes well!
