winter wednesday

I love winter nights. (here's the cheesy photo to prove it) It's dark, it's cold, and there is nothing to do but cuddle up and watch tv. Just the two of us, a warm fire, and some Food Network. Or Thursday night Community/Parks and Rec/The Office/30 Rock. And I'm pretty sure I'll get sucked into American Idol again somehow....even though every year I swear I won't.

But it's winter, what else is there to do??

What do YOU love about winter? (you can do it!!)

ps. and speaking of "winter beards", don't you ever wish you could grow one....maybe?? It just seems so cozy.

If by "winter beard" you mean super long leg hair, then yes. I skipped right over the "stubble"/"scruff" stage and am sporting a full blown beard on both legs.

because THAT is what long boots are for, right?
BOOTS! I DO love something about winter! I LOVE me some long boots. I also love not shaving my legs, but um, that isn't necessarily restricted to winter...

I remember once being so put off by the fact that I would never be able to grow a beard no matter what I did or how hard I tried. I was so defeated until I remembered, oh yeah... I'm a girl.

thats exactly what I love about winter! Cuddling on the couch and watching a good movie or many of the weekly shows we watch...Biggest Loser, Grey's Anatomy, Glee & Modern Family! Although I have to say like you my hubby and I have come quite addicted to the Food Network as well :) Enjoy your quiet time!

I am just glad that I only have 2 weeks left with JetBlue and we FINALLY get to have a night like that again! It has been so long! I keep feeling guilty for quitting but envisioning time together again makes me feel good about my decision. I will join you in the American Idol bandwagon in a couple of weeks, ok?
So wow you did awesome on the couch/chair! Nice job, I CAN'T WAIT to see how this table turns out! Let me know if I can take the kids one day while you whack the wood with chains. Justin used to work at a cabinet shop and distressed wood there so if you want any help, I'm sure he'd be glad to come over!

I love catching up on friend's blogs (your's especially)
I love our huge amazing covered cement patio that still allows to spray paint to my hearts content.
I love reading notes from you in my fb inbox (i am hoping we're still bff's despite my rejection letter).
I love my 5 wall windows that allow me to watch fluffy snowflakes outside while cuddling my ladies inside.
i love this post b/c it made me realize that maybe winter isn't so bad afterall :).

i love winter reading. when it's too cold to be outside it's nice to grab a blanket and read something good.
i HIGHLY recommend Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac.

I just bought clip-in hair extensions, maybe you could make some beard ones. Start the fad Sheena. I dare you!

That's awesome that you're going to that concert. Didn't you just go see them a few months back? Lucky!! I'm seriously thinking about coming. I need to talk Cam into it.

And YES, we should plan a ball.I want to twirl in a pretty dress.
